Concept & Inspiration
“Frattura interdimensionale” nasce dall’idea di rappresentare un’entità digitale che incarna la forza vitale di un mondo techno-organico. Ispirato alle visioni cyberpunk e ai videogame sci-fi, il progetto gioca sul contrasto tra luce e materia, tra elementi organici (l’essere umanoide) e meccanismi frattali che lo avvolgono.
Technical Analysis
Modeling and Sculpting
- Human base modeled in Blender with clean topology, then retopology to optimize polygons.
- Arches and circular modules created with Geometry Nodes, parametric in thickness and curvature angle.
Shader & Texturing
- Principled BSDF for metal, metallic=1, variable roughness (0.0–0.2) for sharp yet realistic reflections.
- Emission Shader per l’avatar: colore blu ciano con oscillazione controllata via driver (battito lampeggiante).
- Procedural textures: mixed noise and voronoi to create corrosion patterns and subtle imperfections.
Lighting & Atmosphere
- Cool/blue area lights inside the shell, reinforced by point lights for internal emission threshold.
- Volumetric scatter leggero per far “respirare” l’aria e catturare i raggi di luce.
Compositing & Effects
- Selective bloom and glare in Blender Compositor to emphasize maximum energy points.
- Added chromatic aberration and soft vignetting in post-production for a cinematic finish.
Render Optimization
- Rendered in Cycles with OptiX Denoise, 200 samples for a good speed/quality balance.
- Split into render layers: avatar, metal structure, background; separate merge and grading for total control.
Visual Description
Composizione centrale:
L’avatar, sospeso nel centro della scena, funge da fulcro visivo. Gli archi curvi e i segmenti frammentati lo circondano a spirale, guidando lo sguardo verso il punto focale.
Luce & Colore:
Un’illuminazione calda-azzurra interna all’essere diffonde bagliori iridescenti sul metallo specchiato, mentre riflessi prismatici creano sfarfallii sullo sfondo frammentato.
Textures & Materials:
- Cylindrical bodies and fragments: shiny metallic material, with micro-roughness to break up reflections.
- Avatar: energy-blue emission shader with slight intensity variations, simulating a pulsating heart of light.
Background & Depth:
Repeating pattern of sliding panels creates a sense of infinite depth, emphasized by a slight atmospheric motion blur effect.
