Concept & Inspiration

Laboratory Blue Eye represents a first approach to anatomical modeling of the human eye, with a particular focus on the iris and cornea. The idea was to create a detailed asset with a simple structure, making it easy to adapt to various visual contexts or simulations.

Technical Analysis

  • Clean and essential modeling: the mesh is composed of approximately 4,900 triangles and 2,500 vertices, sufficient to define the spherical shape and different anatomical zones, from the cornea to the iris, including a flat cut for potential technical use.
  • Distinctive parts: the model includes separate segments for the cornea, iris area, and details such as “blood clotting” spots or black dot markings, designed for advanced tests or simulations.
  • Versatile and customizable: the geometry serves as a ready-to-use base, perfect for realistic rendering, anatomical visualization, or animation.

Visual Description

  • Realistic form: the eye is modeled with cornea, eyeball, and iris details that are clearly defined and coherent.
  • Scientific look: the approach reflects in the neutral colors and simple rendering, ideal for technical or educational environments.
  • Customization potential: the model can become more expressive or detailed by adding realistic textures or visual effects such as reflections and transparency.

Challenges Faced

  • Balancing anatomical accuracy with simplicity, to achieve a credible form without overloading the mesh.
